We have a bit of a later start today as I'm heading down to Tyndale Seminary this evening with Gerry and Matt to a special preaching event with Ravi Zacharius. The day in the office so far has seen me help move some equipment, help eat hot dogs, garlic bread and chocolate cake (it was an act of service to help somone out). However, when I haven't been doing that, I've been preparing letters that go out to enquirers on the church website. When they fill out an online request, we send them out a free book with a letter covering any prayer request they have made or answereing quesitons they may have about the church. We're also continuing to prepare for Baptisms this Sunday and have been going through the candidate's written testimonies to help them make sure they can effectively share their faith stories as the present themselves publicly for Baptism. I'll maybe post some feedback on tonight's event later.
Before I came to work today, we all met up with Chris, Sammy (Chris's younger sister) and the kids to go to the park near where we're living. I came to work exhausted after running back and forth along the swings pushing four kids, all screaming to go higher at once. I think my kids are getting aclimatised now as Kathryn came through with a big cheery smile this morning and said good morning to each of us, while Joe slept until I went in to get him. Oh! I nearly forgot to say that I had fun playing with a classic wooden train set last night when the kids were in bed and Laura went to TH's to meet Sarah for Coffee (hot chocolate actually as neither of them drink coffee), it was brilliant fun setting it all up and running the train round it. Then Laura brought me back a scrumptious Iced Cappucino which is just like a coffee slush puppy. Mmmmmnnnn.
